In Kooperation mit dem Ungarischen Kulturinstitut Stuttgart präsentieren wir ein etwas anderes Konzert: zwei DJ’s aus Budapest legen im Bürgerhaus auf, parallel dazu werden Projektionen den Saal erhellen.
Žagar AV Experience is a collaboration between Balázs Zságer (keyboardist-producer of the Hungarian electronica act, Žagar) and Kati Katona visual artist. They have performed at Ludwig Museum Budapest, Live Cinema Festival Rome (2020), at Patchlab Festival (2021) Krakow and at Vision of Sound London (2021) as well.
Their new audiovisual performance is a collection of impressions of the ocean, of its ever changing processes. While examining the nature of the ocean, soon we will be facing a whole new world full of interactions. As we find the patterns that are weaving through the underwater world, soon we will realize the connections. The human consciousness is also like a vast infinite ocean of peace and stillness that underlies everything in existence.
Zságer is revealing his more experimental and atmospheric side in this project: his music approach is a mixture of ambient soundscapes and pulsing synth-textures based on analog modular systems and various structures of fm synthesis. Kati Katona is obsessed with experimenting with techniques, combining one with another, and exploring new processes. One of her expertise is the modification of real time captured footage which she uses often as a source of her generative visual contents.
